Donald Trump’s administration is the most corrupt in the nation’s history. It makes even U.S. Grant’s look like a model of honesty and decorum even though it had previously been the most corrupt by consensus.
Donald Trump’s administration is so corrupt that even a horse like Justify won’t go to the White House, yet alone standup citizens like the Warriors and Eagles. Donald Trump’s administration is so corrupt that it would make a locomotive take a dirt road.
Verily, that corruption was to be expected when Donald Trump has handily combined all that is dark and dreaded in the American soul – racism, misogyny, greed, stupidity, anti-intellectualism and just plain ugliness – into one totally vile personality that is bent on destroying all that is good and worthy of the American character.
Funny thing, though: up until now I could understand – just barely – the rampant political and moral corruption that hangs over the White House like a miasma of unbridled chaos. Even such a flagrant serial miscreant of corruption as Scott Puitt is understandable given the example set by our so-called president (small case “p”). Pruitt has at least 15 investigations going on into his seemingly crazed corruption. It’s like he can’t wait for a new day and a new scandal. And the Boss says at a cabinet meeting that his boy is doing a hell of a job. In Trumpworld, the worst is the best.
The New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof read my mind when he stated that this administration has gone “from abhorrent to evil.” Corruption taken to its logical conclusion is indeed evil and we have now reached that truly dangerous time in America. That is the wall and it has been hit for me and the country.
Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon went so far as trying to get inside a closed Walmart detention center in Brownsville, Texas, to see for himself the ongoing Trump evil and had the cops called on him and was summarily turned away. A fucking U.S. Senator couldn’t penetrate this evil wall. Merkley should have had himself arrested and called out from jail for the entire U.S. Congress to rise up and stop this brutality and evil that is being perpetrated on the least powerful and most vulnerable among us – our children.
Sorry, but the country seems fresh out of miracles now. Maybe in November, children, maybe in November, parents. Maybe.
